Rehoboth Beach

We took our annual day trip to Rehoboth Beach in Delaware a couple weekends ago and it was fantastic as always. A lot of our good friends joined us and we lounged the day away in good company. I didn't get a picture with everyone, which I am very sad about, but oh well!

Jack took his first dip in the ocean but we didn't get it on camera because I was in the water and Ryan was in charge of holding Jack. I probably shouldn't post them even if we had them since it might be inappropriate. You see, I looked up when I heard several chuckles and oohs and ahhs to find Ryan with a completely naked Jack enjoying the water. Jack had several fans of his cute bare bum! I couldn't find a swimsuit that would fit our little man so he went wild and free and he LOVED it. I am sure he is going to be a water lover like his parents!

I forgot Jack's hat so he got to wear the infamous red polka dot hat that his daddy so dearly loves and his mama dislikes :). I actually like it on a cute baby boy though.

I have never spent all of my day at the beach in the shade but I am sure my skin and my dermatologist were happy for that.

As you can see below, the annual digging of a giant hole in the beach was also successful. Here is Jeff taking his turn with Bryson and Richie looking on. Ryan was then buried in the hole as is also the tradition. Oh boys will always be boys and I love it!

Now to figure out how to get another beach trip in before the end of the summer...

The big question

We generally get two questions when people see Jack.

1. Where does all that hair come from?
And
2. Who does he look like?

For the first question...word on the street is that it happens a lot in my family. All we know is that we really like his hair.

For the second question, you tell us.

If you need a reminder, here is Jack.

Here is Ryan as a baby. Maybe. Could be one of his other siblings. His Mom has had a hard time with her boxes stuffed of photos...

Here is Kaylyn as a baby.

So, who does Jack look like?

Olympics

I am so sad that the Olympics are over. Not only are they awesome to watch, but they are a complete gift to any nursing mother. I mean, there is always something to watch when you are feeding your baby and it isn't just a re-run of some show about a celebrity or want to be celebrity. Jack and I watched a lot of Olympics and he loves looking at the tv (gasp, I allow my baby to watch the tv...and I'm not even sorry).

Jack especially liked the swimming and diving. He didn't like the random stuff like speed walking though, he found it boring.
