Jack's Blessing

A couple of weeks ago, we were able to bless Jack in our ward in Virginia. We were very blessed to have Nanna and Papa Peterson and Grandma and Grandpa Bessey in town for the blessing. We had a lot of fun and Jack was spoiled rotten with so much attention and he ate it up and pulled out all his tricks. Ryan did an amazing job with the blessing and it was a wonderful day!
I had originally planned on putting a tie on Jack to make him look dapper on his blessing day. Alas, his neck is too big to button the shirt up all the way so the tie thing wasn't working so well. But his still looked adorable in his white shirt.
After church we did a little photo shoot with the grandparents. Aren't these folks adorable? We love our parents so much and we are so grateful they made the trip out to join us!!

Then Jack was showing his tricks to the camera. Despite what one of the videos that Ryan posted (and oh weren't the videos generous, you are welcome for sharing Jack) Jack absolutely loves when Ryan lets him balance on his hands. He gets very serious and then laughs and smiles. It calms him down when he is mad unless he is hungry :)

Another Jack trick, he doesn't want to sit. He only wants to stand in any way possible. If we let go of him, he stands for a second and then just tips right over while maintaining his rigid stance.

My awesome mom was so amazing and sweet and stayed with us for the week after the blessing to take care of Jack while I had to go into the office for my first week officially back at work. Being away from Jack was tough but it was a lot easier knowing Jack was in the most capable hands. Thanks Mom!!

VIDEO MONTAGE

I was going through videos and pictures of Jack and decided to do a post with the best of videos showing our little fella growing up. Of course since I'm justifiably biased it turned out to be quite the collection. So kick back and enjoy the show if your heart so desires.

And just to celebrate the beginning of College Football season I guess its appropriate to put this photo up...

GO UTES!!!

3 Months...a few weeks late

Only a couple of weeks late but here is the 3 month post. We love our little Jack more and more and he is fun to play with! Ryan scares people on a regular basis with his tricks with Jack (aka balancing Jack standing up on one hand). I am so used to it that it doesn't phase me, I trust Ryan. Mostly. :) But Jack adores his daddy and loves when he plays with him.

We don't have official stats because he didn't have a doctors appointment this month but all we know is that he is getting too heavy to hold on long walks and he is growing out of things quickly. His sweet giggle makes us smile and laugh along with him, even when he is doing it when he should be napping. Little Man is already a good manipulator.

It is getting increasingly difficult to get a picture of him not moving or not sucking on his fists. Due to the latter new habit, he is also drooling a lot. I am so grateful for all the burp rags that I thought were a bit high in number. That thought was false, I could use more probably. He is also pulling the best facial expressions that keep me laughing. We love Jack!

We tried to tell him it isn't polite to lick. We are working on it.
