West Wing Tour

Our good friend, Shane, took Ryan and I and some others on a tour of the West Wing of the White House. It was a fabulous experience and we had a lot of fun on the tour. Shane and I worked together in the Simpson office and left us last summer and our office has been sad ever since so it was good to see him and his wife again and he was really nice to invite us on the tour.

It was an absolutely beautiful day outside and the cherry blossoms and other fabulous flowers are in bloom and made the day even better. You can't take pictures inside the White House but we got some good pictures outside and in the press room.

Long time no see...

I apparently have a really hard time keeping up on my blog. It just seems to take so much effort. :)

A few weeks ago, we went to Utah for my best friend's, Katherine, wedding. It was so fun to see her and her husband and be there for the wedding. She looked beautiful!! Congratulations Katherine and Matt!
While we were in Utah, we got to spend time with both of our families too, which was a definite added bonus. I got to spend a lot of time with this cute little fella, my nephew Andrew...I also got to spend a lot of time with my sister Megan and my parents. We had a lot of fun shopping and hanging out. One of the nights, Meg and I decided to have a sleepover and watch a movie so we pulled the mattress from the bed into the family room. We have done this for years and it never gets old. Now that we are older, we end up falling asleep a lot sooner but we still have a lot of fun.We were able to be there for Ryan's niece, McKinley's birthday party. She had a princess party with her friends and we missed the majority of the friends' party but what we saw was really adorable! Then we had cake and ice cream with the family and it was fun to see everyone!
